Bjørnerud's resilient leadership is indicative of the new generation of leaders that demonstrate a strong sense of purpose, innovative thinking and long-lasting societal impact.
As a devoted mother to two daughters lovingly known as the "Lioness Mum," Tonje obtains her great strength and drive from being a mother. This drives her personal commitment to protect and sustain future generations on our earth. Her successes in life as a leader and an entrepreneur reflect her goals to create a better world for our future generations and to provide leadership based on the humanistic values of responsibility, collaboration, and stewardship of our planet.

Tonje is committed to advocating for mental health issues, including its effects on people. As a mental health advocate through personal experience, she takes active involvement with numerous initiatives focused on increasing awareness of mental health issues, building resilience, and creating connections between people.
Tonje has a focus on openness, empathy, and how authentic relationships and dialoguing help reduce stigma around mental health through shared understanding.

The foundation is dedicated to helping others build their awareness, compassion, and understanding of individual-to-individual experience through the process of turning individual-to-individual experience into social impact or collective strength.
