A Weekend That Flew By
The weekend disappeared in a blur of celebrations, preparations, and plans. Two birthday gatherings, hours spent refining one of my speeches, and mapping out the next two weeks before traveling to Palm Springs.
On Sunday, I made a conscious effort to slow down. I put my phone away as much as possible and gave myself permission to simply be present. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is pause.
And Then Came Monday
A Monday in Oslo rarely stands still. Meetings, errands, conversations, unexpected tasks. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, several hours had disappeared and parts of today’s schedule had been pushed to tomorrow.
Sometimes I wish time was something you could buy.
What would you pay for more time, and what would you spend it on?
Back Home
This evening I arrived back home, leaving a rainy Oslo behind and returning to a sunny Tønsberg.
Tønsberg is my hometown and the oldest city in Norway, founded in 871. For more than a thousand years, people have walked these streets, built lives, followed dreams, and weathered storms. There is something grounding about returning to a place where history lives quietly around every corner. A reminder that while our days often feel rushed, life itself is much bigger than any single schedule.
The Luxury of Time
After arriving home, I jumped straight into another meeting while eating dinner. Not exactly how I prefer my evenings, but once again, it all comes back to time.
Lost in Another World
One of the highlights of my day was spending some time in the enormous costume storage in Oslo. Endless corridors filled from floor to ceiling with garments, fabrics, treasures, and stories waiting to be told.
For a brief moment, I wandered through the aisles without looking at the clock. The rush outside disappeared. The noise faded. It felt like stepping into another world where creativity mattered more than deadlines.
Building Something Meaningful
Among today’s meetings were conversations focused on TO LIV Foundation, a project very close to my heart. Behind the scenes, strategic work continues to shape a foundation dedicated to supporting, empowering, and creating new opportunities for women.
Every woman matters.
The vision is clear: to create hope, support, empowerment, and new beginnings. There is still much work ahead, but meaningful change always starts with a single step, followed by another.
As Albert Einstein once said:
“Time is what prevents everything from happening at once.”
Perhaps that is exactly its gift.
