Weekend Moments. Little Rituals & Big Smiles
Waiting, remembering, and slowing down
Right now, I am sitting quietly, looking through travel photos. The weather in the pictures is just as beautiful as it is outside today. Still, I have to admit, it felt a little more magical being pulled on a sled back then than spending the day cleaning the house for the weekend, which I have just finished doing.
Flowers and the feeling of weekend
I also bought flowers for myself today. I simply cannot feel that true weekend mood without fresh stem flowers on the table. There is something about that feeling a small ritual that brings calm, beauty, and a sense of reset after a long week. Sometimes the smallest details create the biggest atmosphere.
A week to remember
This week has been more special than many I have experienced in years. I ended my workday by recording a podcast, and the promotion is soon running on the radio. More will be teased, so stay tuned. I also stopped by the store and had the chance to greet a dear friend I had not seen in a long time. Moments like that remind me how meaningful unexpected meetings can be.
Family Fridays
Now I am about to pick up my oldest daughter, and the weekend ahead promises taco night and games. I always think it is something truly special when all the kids, along with friends, gather around the dinner table. Coming from a big family myself, sharing meals has always meant something extra to me. Sitting together, laughing, playing games, and simply enjoying a Friday evening side by side, that is exactly how it should be. Full of humor, warmth, and togetherness.
A little thought for the weekend
As Audrey Hepburn once said, “The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.”
And weekends like this remind me just how true that is.
Wishing you all a beautiful and peaceful weekend. See you again on Monday.
