Lion Mum on the Sidelines

Some days I juggle being a lion mum, a football mum, and everything in between, all while keeping up with work and responsibilities. It is a balancing act. Constant movement. Constant adjustment.

But moments like today make it all worth it.

Heart on the Field

Today my youngest daughter played a match, and I could not be prouder.

The energy.
The teamwork.
The determination.

Watching her out there on the field made my heart burst. There is something incredibly powerful about seeing your child step into their own strength. Running with confidence. Falling and getting back up. Fighting for the team.

These are not everyday moments. As we say in Norwegian, moments like this do not grow on trees.

The Small Victories

Standing on the sidelines, cheering with the other parents, I was reminded how quickly time moves. Seasons shift. Children grow. And suddenly you are watching them become braver, stronger, more independent right in front of you.

It is in these small victories that life feels fullest. Not in grand achievements. But in muddy boots, loud cheers, and proud smiles after the final whistle.

“Being a mother is discovering strengths you didn’t know you had and dealing with fears you never knew existed.”
Sherene Simon

And every day, I discover both.
