Today was one of those days that felt full in the best possible way.
It was productive, focused, and meaningful from start to finish. The kind of day where a lot gets done, but where there is still room to breathe, reflect, and enjoy the people around you.
Earlier in the day, I had a lunch date with my love at Aker Brygge. And honestly, sushi in the sun is never a bad idea. There was something so simple and beautiful about it. Just sitting there, feeling the warmth, sharing good food, and taking a small pause in the middle of a busy day. Moments like that mean so much. They remind me that even in ambitious seasons, life is also about the quiet and the real.
One quote stayed with me today:
“Once you do have a great business selling at a good price with a satisfactory margin of safety, don’t panic if the stock price drops after you buy. Changes in stock price have nothing to do with risk.”
– Tweedy, Browne
I wanted to include this quote because it says something important not only about business, but also about the world we live in today. We live in a society where so much is measured by movement, noise, visibility, and quick reactions. Prices move. Headlines change. Opinions shift. People panic quickly. But real value is rarely built in panic.
That is true in investing.
And it is also true in life.
In today’s society, there is often pressure to react instantly, perform constantly, and mistake short-term change for real danger. But not every drop means risk. Not every quiet season means failure. Not every slow process means something is wrong. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is stay calm, stay informed, and stay anchored in what we know has real value.
I think that is one of the most important lessons in both work and life.
To know the difference between noise and truth.
Between stress and substance.
Between appearance and value.
That is why I appreciate productive days like this one. Days where things move forward. Days where conversations matter. Days where work is done with intention. And days where you are reminded that the best things are often a combination of focus, patience, trust, and good people around you.
My team of ten colleagues and I, came back from the cinema after watching The Odyssey, and wow -what a film.
It was powerful, intense and beautifully made. The kind of movie that pulls you into another world and stays with you long after you leave the room. I truly recommend seeing it.
There was something special about ending a productive workday, together like that. After hours of focus, planning and building, we got to share an experience as a team – something different, inspiring and memorable.
And maybe that is exactly what today reminded me of.
That success is not only built in meetings, plans and long working hours. It is also built in the atmosphere we create around us. In the people we share the journey/ship with. In the moments that give us energy after the work is done.
A team becomes stronger not only by what it achieves, but by what it experiences together. From the provisions that we gather. And this will continue more and more.
Tonight felt like one of those moments.
A shared story.
A small pause in a busy season.
A reminder that the journey matters.
And a beautiful ending to a day that felt both productive and alive.
Motto from Nordè:
Build with focus, live with presence, and never forget the moments that make the journey worth remembering.
