Today is Friday, and somehow it felt just as busy as every other day lately.

Maybe even busier.

It is slowly beginning to sink in that there are only four days left before I travel to represent Norway in Mrs. Globe. Four days. That sounds like almost nothing when I look at everything that still needs to be done. Dresses to prepare, clothes to steam, things to pack, details to remember, lists to finish and emotions to hold.

Some days feel like they are moving faster than I can walk.
But even in the middle of all the movement, today gave me so many beautiful reminders.

The Kind of Friday That Runs Before You Do
The day started with another quick visit to the seamstress.
At this point, I almost feel like dresses, adjustments and last details have become part of my daily language. There is so much that has to fit, not only on the body, but also with the moment, the stage, the lights, the feeling and the story I want to carry with me.

After that, I went straight to Teie Velvære for a magical HydraFacial plus plus treatment.

And wow.

There are places where you just feel it the moment you walk in. The atmosphere, the warmth, the professionalism, the calm, the knowledge and the genuine care. Teie Velvære is one of those places.

My dear friend Rania owns the salon, and she is truly something special. She has created more than a beauty salon. She has created a space where people feel seen, safe and taken care of. She works with so much heart, so much energy and so much dedication to make sure every client receives the very best treatment.

Rania is not only skilled. She is generous. She is present. She is passionate. She is the kind of woman who lifts the room simply by being in it.

And today, when life felt like a fast moving carousel, it was exactly the kind of place I needed.

Beauty With Skill and Heart

There is something very beautiful about people who are excellent at what they do, but who still meet others with softness.

That is what I feel at Teie Velvære.

It is professional, but never cold. It is luxurious, but never distant. It is full of competence, but also full of warmth. You feel that they know what they are doing, and you feel that they care about why they are doing it.

That combination is rare.

Rania and her team deserve so much praise, because they do not only give treatments. They give confidence, calm and that little extra feeling of being ready to step into the world again.

And right now, only four days before departure, that means more than I can explain.

Tønsbergs Blad and a Little Sneak Peek

Tønsbergs Blad was also there today.

There were interviews, photos, videos and many hours of talking, showing, explaining and sharing parts of this journey. I showed some of the clothes I will bring with me, but not the main gowns.

Those are still secret.

The final dresses will not be revealed until the final, and honestly, I love that. Some magic needs to stay hidden until the right moment.
But I can say this.

Wow.

I am so incredibly happy.

UMAFRE

The dresses are designed by Uma and her designer brand UMAFRE, and I almost do not have words big enough for how grateful I am. She is the designer behind the gowns, and every single detail feels thought through with love, precision and vision.

The dresses are not just dresses.

They are statements.
They have strength, femininity, elegance, colour, movement and personality. Everything from the shape to the finishing details feels carefully created. You can see that someone has put both skill and soul into them.

Uma is absolutely incredible.

I am deeply grateful for her generosity, her talent and the way she has helped make this journey feel even more special. To be able to wear her designs when I represent Norway is something I will never take for granted.

She is raw talent.
And I could not be more proud, touched or excited.

The Flower Crown and the Secret Colours

After many hours of interviews, pictures and video, I finally came home.

Then it was time for the flower crown.

The crown is for one of the shows, and the result became so beautiful and so interesting. The colours are taken from the dress it will be worn with, so everything has a connection. Nothing is random. Every little piece belongs to the full expression.

I wish I could show everything now.

But I cannot.

All the pictures will come after the event. For now, the final looks must remain secret. That is part of the excitement, and also part of the discipline.

Sometimes the hardest thing is not creating the magic.
It is keeping quiet about it until the right time.

A Friday Evening With Wine and Suitcases in My Head

Now it is Friday evening.

I finally have a glass of wine, and soon it is time for dinner.

But even while I sit here, trying to breathe into the evening, my mind is still working. I keep thinking about everything that has to fit into the suitcases. Everything that must be steamed. Everything that must be packed carefully. Everything that must arrive safely.

How does one pack dreams, dresses, crowns, shoes, national pride, nerves, gratitude and a whole heart into luggage?

That is the question tonight.
And still, underneath all the stress, I feel something even stronger.

Gratitude.

So much gratitude.
For the people who help. For the people who show up. For the generosity I have been met with here in Tønsberg. For the women who cheer, support, create, adjust, treat, photograph, interview, lift and believe.

There is a kind of beauty in a town that knows how to be generous.
And Tønsberg has shown me so much of that.
A Fun Fact About Dresses Through Time
Since today has been filled with dresses, here is a little fun fact.

In the 1800s, some fashionable dresses became so wide that women wore cage crinolines underneath them to create the dramatic shape. The crinoline was made with hoops and gave the skirt volume without needing layer upon layer of heavy petticoats.

Imagine needing architecture under your dress just to walk into a room.

Fashion has always been more than fabric.
It has been structure, identity, courage, status, creativity and sometimes a little bit of madness.
Maybe that is why I love dresses so much.
A dress can hold a story before you even say a word.

Style That Carries a Story

Yves Saint Laurent once said:

“Fashions fade, style is eternal.”
I think that is so true.

Because fashion can be beautiful, but style is deeper. Style is what happens when clothing carries personality, purpose and feeling. It is not only about how something looks. It is about what it says.

And these days, as I prepare to travel and represent Norway, I feel that more than ever.

Every dress has to carry more than beauty.
It has to carry gratitude.
It has to carry strength.

It has to carry the story of a woman, a mother, a dreamer and a fighter who has lived enough life to know that nothing meaningful comes without effort.

Four days to go.
A lot still needs to be done.
But tonight, I choose to sit for a moment in the middle of it all and feel thankful.
For the chaos.
For the dresses.
For the people.
For the help.
For the opportunity.
For Norway.

And for every generous heart that has helped me get this far.

Motto from Nordè

A dress can shine under the lights, but true elegance begins with the gratitude you carry inside it.

Bubble hugs from Nordè.
