Hospital days again

White walls. Quiet corridors. That familiar stillness that follows you even after you leave. It doesn’t stay at the hospital, instead, it comes home with you. It settles in your chest, in your breath, in the way your shoulders don’t fully relax. I wish I could say I’m handling it with strength and ease. However, the truth is simpler than that. I’m tired.

A different kind of tired
Not just physically. This is the kind of tired that settles deeper, and it doesn’t disappear after sleep. Instead, it lingers quietly and drains energy from places you didn’t know could run empty. You wake up already tired, and at the same time, you move through the day already behind. Still, you keep going.

The invisible weight
What people don’t always see, however, is how heavy it is to carry something you cannot change. Something you didn’t choose. Something you cannot fix with effort or discipline. Because of that, it becomes a constant weight. And even though you are strong, it still takes something from you every single day.

When control disappears
There are moments in life where you realize how little control you actually have. Situations you didn’t ask for, and outcomes you cannot influence. Therefore, no matter how strong you are, you cannot push through everything. That is hard. Because I am used to building, fixing, and moving forward. But this is different. Instead, this requires acceptance.

Holding on
Right now, I feel stretched thin. As if I am holding everything together, while at the same time trying not to fall apart myself. I’m doing my best to keep my head above water. To stay steady. To show up. However, even strength has limits. And now, I feel those limits clearly.

When strength becomes silent
Strength doesn’t always look powerful. In fact, sometimes it looks like simply showing up when you have nothing left. Sometimes it looks like taking one step, answering one message, or breathing through one more moment. And yet, sometimes strength means stopping.

Saying it out loud
It’s not easy to admit. Especially when you are used to being the one who carries everything. The one who shows up no matter what. However, the truth is, I am exhausted. And this time, instead of pushing through, I am choosing to listen.

A necessary pause
So I will take a few days. Not disappearing, and not quitting. Instead, I am stepping back just enough to breathe. Enough to recover. Enough to slowly rebuild. I will write when I can, when it feels right, and when the energy returns. But right now, my body needs rest.

The quiet truth
We live in a world that rewards pushing through. However, pushing through is sometimes exactly what breaks you. Therefore, rest is not weakness. It is necessary. It is repair. It is survival.

A reminder to everyone
Please, don’t put pressure on people who are already struggling. Instead, meet them with understanding. Because you never truly know what someone is holding inside. And more importantly, never take advantage of someone’s strength when they are in a vulnerable place.

What matters most
Health comes first. Not just as a saying, but as reality. Because without it, everything else slowly falls apart.

Stepping back to come back
I’m not gone. Instead,
I’m stepping back so I can come back stronger, clearer, and more present.

Today’s motto
Listen when the body says stop – not after it breaks.
