Another warm summer day and an efficient one so far.
Additionally, the morning began with a little more movement than usual as we prepared the workspace for the day. We loaded more equipment into the office and organized critical documents, ensuring everything was in place before the first 10:00 meeting and brief follow-up checks.
Moreover, we continued by loading more equipment into the office, getting the car ready for service, and confirming all items were set for the 10:00 start. Remember Always: Colour Your Days With Beautiful colors While They Are Here! This mindset guided today’s pacing.
Additionally, there was even time for a small race on the way to work.
Moreover, it was a careful and responsible race, of course.

My dear one and I were driving separately because one of the cars was going in for service.
Additionally, neither of us was particularly interested in arriving second.

The car was delivered, the equipment made it to the office, and I arrived with plenty of time before the first meeting.
A good start often sets the rhythm for the rest of the day.
Summer in Oslo
The sun continued to shine, and the hours passed quickly.
We also managed to take a walk through the streets of Oslo.
Additionally, there is something special about the city during summer.
Moreover, the pace feels different.
However, the pavements are full of people.
Restaurants extend into the streets.
Even familiar buildings seem softer in the warm light.

Additionally, walking is also one of the best ways to think.
Ideas that feel complicated when sitting in front of a screen often become clearer after a few kilometers outside. Moreover, Movement creates space, not only around us, but inside our minds. Remember Always: Colour Your Days With Beautiful colors While They Are Here!
Additionally, it feels strange to think that summer will soon enter its final full month.
July always seems endless when it begins. Meanwhile, August is waiting around the corner.
Nevertheless, that is one of summer’s quiet reminders. The days do not ask whether we are ready before they move on.
Sunshine and the Wider World
The sunshine in Oslo has made today feel light and pleasant.
However, the same summer heat is creating a far more serious reality elsewhere in Europe.
France and Spain are battling wildfires during another intense heatwave.
Additionally, evacuations, damaged homes, and large areas of land are affected.
It is a reminder that weather which feels beautiful in one place can be destructive elsewhere.
Thus climate resilience, emergency preparedness, and strong infrastructure are increasingly important.
The contrast is worth reflecting on.
We can enjoy a warm day while still remembering that the world is larger than our immediate surroundings. Gratitude and awareness can exist at the same time.
Perhaps they should.
Family Time
Today is also on of my nieces birthday, and we will soon be heading over to celebrate.
It is always good to see family again.
No matter how busy life becomes, there is something grounding about gathering around a table, sharing food, telling familiar stories and celebrating someone you care about.
These moments may not look significant from the outside, but they are often the ones we remember.
Family also makes the logistics of a busy life easier. While we are traveling north, they will be looking after Kompis. That means he will be away from both us and the office for a few days.
The office will undoubtedly feel quieter without him.
He has become part of the daily rhythm, the walks, the meetings, the arrivals and the moments when everyone needs a small break. I am sure he will enjoy his own little holiday, although we will miss having him around.
One Night, Then North
Before leaving, there is still packing and sorting to be done.
I have not been home for several days, and I will only have one night there before traveling again. That means unpacking, repacking and trying to remember which bag contains what.
Some periods of life are simply like that.
You arrive, reorganize, sleep and continue.
It can feel chaotic, but there is also something energizing about being in motion, especially when the movement is connected to people, places and projects that matter.
The challenge is remembering to be present while moving forward.
It is easy to treat today as a corridor leading to tomorrow. We rush through the current moment because we are thinking about the next meeting, the next journey or the next task.
But life is not waiting for the calendar to become less crowded.
It is happening now.
Today’s Fun Fact
July was originally called Quintilis, meaning “the fifth month” in the old Roman calendar. It was later renamed in honor of Julius Caesar, who was born during the month and played a central role in reforming the Roman calendar.
Soon, July will hand the calendar over to August.
Another page turned.
Another reminder that time moves whether we notice it or not.
Quote of the Day
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote:
“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”
Not every day will be easy.
Not every day will be spectacular.
Some days are filled with meetings, car services, equipment, packing and practical tasks. Others bring celebrations, long walks, travel and unexpected adventures.
Most days contain a little of everything.
The important thing may not be creating perfect days, but noticing the good colors already present in them—and adding a few of our own.
Time flies.
The days change quickly.
So remember to color your days with good colors: meaningful work, movement, laughter, family, gratitude and the people who make an ordinary journey to work feel like a race worth winning.
Motto from the Nordè
Use the light while it is here and carry its colors with you.
