The First Sign of Spring – I love IT!
A slower start
Today started later than usual. I actually woke up a little surprised when I realized the clock had already passed 8 am. Normally I like to be up earlier and ahead of the day.
Still, somehow I have managed to get more done than on many other mornings. It is funny how that works. Sometimes when the start is slower, the rhythm of the day finds its own way.
Small pauses that matter
So far today I have managed to squeeze in brunch with some friends, which was both cozy and needed. There is something about sitting down together in the middle of a busy week that feels grounding.
I also had a physio appointment. Good for the body and good for the mind. Taking care of yourself is not always about big changes. Sometimes it is simply about showing up for the small routines that keep everything balanced.
The first sign of spring
When I picked up my daughter after school we drove through an area where something suddenly caught my eye.
Crocus.
Small flowers pushing their way through the ground. The first real sign of spring I have seen this year. The sky was bright blue and the sun was shining, and those tiny purple flowers somehow made the whole moment feel bigger.
It is amazing how something so small can remind you that a new season is on the way.
Sun against the wall
Right now I am sitting outside in the sun while writing this. For the first time this year I actually had to take off my sweater and ended up sitting here in a tank top.
When you live in Norway like I do, these days feel almost magical. After the long winter, the warmth of the sun against a wall, the light in the sky and the feeling of spring slowly arriving makes you appreciate everything a little more.
A thought for the day
As Albert Camus once said
“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.”
And today truly feels like one of those days where you can feel that summer slowly waking up again.
Buble hugs from Nordè
