Rain, Sunshine, Interviews and Weekend Energy
Another day in Oslo has come to an end, and what a beautiful mix it was. A little rain, a little sunshine, and plenty of movement.
The countdown to Palm Springs and the Mrs. Globe finals is becoming very real now. Every day seems to bring another piece of the puzzle into place, and I can feel the excitement building.
Today included another round of interviews at Grand Hotel in Oslo. There is something energizing about sitting down with people, sharing stories, discussing visions, and exploring possibilities. Every conversation has the potential to open a new door.
A Productive Day
I also stopped by the printing house today and left feeling very pleased with the results. There is a special satisfaction in seeing ideas come to life and watching projects move one step closer to reality.
Progress is often built quietly behind the scenes long before anyone else sees it.
And trust me, there is quite a lot happening behind the scenes at Nordè these days.
Coffee, Ice Cream and Good People
A quick visit to Lillestrøm became one of those small moments that make a day memorable.
Good coffee, an ice cream sandwich, and great company before getting back behind the wheel and heading home toward Tønsberg.
I truly appreciate good people.
The kind of people who support, encourage, collaborate, and genuinely want to see others succeed.
The older I get, the more convinced I become that life is not about competing with one another. It is about helping each other rise.
When people share knowledge, opportunities, and support, incredible things can happen.
Thinking Differently
Maybe I think a little differently than some people.
When I think about the weekend, I do not immediately think about slowing down.
I think about arriving home, washing the week away, stepping into a beautiful dress, putting on high heels, and setting the standard for the days ahead.
For me, weekends are not something that just happen.
They are something we create.
What about you?
How do you set the tone for your weekend?
International Connections
One of today’s highlights was a conversation with a good friend in London.
As always, it was wonderful catching up and exchanging updates.
Afterwards, I found myself reflecting on how many exciting opportunities can emerge when people connect across countries, industries, and backgrounds.
There is often a reason certain people enter our lives.
Some arrive to teach us something.
Some arrive to challenge us.
And some arrive because together we are meant to build something bigger than either of us could create alone.
Who this person is and what may come from these conversations will remain a secret for now.
There is a time for everything.
A Busy and Beautiful Weekend Ahead
This weekend will be full of errands and commitments, all of them enjoyable, but there is certainly no shortage of things to do.
On Sunday, my oldest daughter’s dog will also be staying with me.
He is a little character with endless energy and a talent for making sure life never becomes too quiet.
Needless to say, there will be plenty of activity in the house.
Before You Go
As the week comes to an end, I want to leave you with one simple reminder.
Be kind to one another.
You never know how much a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand can mean to someone.
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Fun Fact
Studies show that strong personal and professional relationships are among the most important factors contributing to happiness, resilience, and long term success.
Motto from Nordè
“Great things often begin as quiet conversations, unseen opportunities, and people who choose to believe in each other.”
