The Weekend That Disappeared In A Heartbeat

Some weekends seem to last forever.

Others disappear before you have time to notice.
This was one of those weekends.
There was plenty to do, projects to move forward, plans to organize, and responsibilities to take care of. Yet thankfully, there was also time for what matters most.

Quality time.
The kind of moments that never appear on a to do list but somehow become the most valuable part of the day.

An Unexpected Passenger

On Sunday, I picked up Kopis, my oldest daughter’s dog.

He is a wonderful little troublemaker and impossible not to love.

On the drive home, about halfway through the journey, I noticed a woman standing by the road holding a large bouquet of flowers. She was hitchhiking.

I drove past her at first.
Then something told me to stop.
If I am honest, I rarely pick up hitchhikers these days. The world has changed, and many of us have become more cautious.

What about you? Would you stop?

As she got into the car, she explained that she had missed her bus and was facing a long wait on a quiet road where very few cars passed by.
She had already been standing there for quite some time.

The gratitude she showed was immediate and genuine.
What struck me most was our conversation.
We talked about how acts of kindness sometimes seem less common than they once were. How easy it is to become focused on our own schedules, our own destinations, and our own lives.
And yet, sometimes the smallest gesture can completely change someone else’s day.
What began as a short ride became a much longer one.
I ended up driving her all the way home.
The smile on her face was worth every extra minute.

The Power Of Showing Up For Others

One thing I have learned throughout life is that kindness rarely costs as much as we think.

A helping hand.
A listening ear.
An encouraging word.
A ride home.
Often, the things that mean the most are the things that require the least.

We never truly know what another person is carrying.
Perhaps that is why compassion matters so much.
Not because it changes the world overnight.
But because it changes someone’s world in that moment.

And that is often enough.

Building Dreams One Step At A Time

The rest of Sunday was spent working on various projects and plans for the future.

Today, Monday has arrived.
A new week.
A new beginning.
A fresh opportunity to move forward.

Earlier today, I drove through my hometown, and I found myself feeling incredibly grateful.
So many people are now stepping forward to support my journey toward Mrs. Globe.
The encouragement, belief, and generosity I have received have touched me deeply.
Soon, I will be sharing and thanking everyone publicly.

Because no meaningful journey is ever built alone.
Behind every dream stands a community of people who choose to believe in it.
And for that, I am truly thankful.

A Little Luxury In The Middle Of The Day

In the middle of a busy Monday, I also made time for something a little different.

A visit to my nail designer, Raminta.

Sometimes self care is not about grand gestures or expensive experiences. Sometimes it is simply about taking a moment to pause, sit still, and do something that makes you feel good.
Raminta has an incredible eye for detail, creativity, and quality. She is one of those rare people who combines talent with genuine passion for her craft, and the results always reflect that.

If you are looking for a nail designer who truly cares about her work, I can wholeheartedly recommend her.

A Perfect Monday Evening

Now the evening has arrived.
Several more hours in front of the computer are waiting for me.
And strangely enough, I do not mind.

There is something comforting about ending the day with candlelight, a warm cup of tea, and work that feels meaningful.

When you genuinely enjoy what you are building, hard work feels a little less like work.
Not every day has to be extraordinary.
Sometimes a good day is simply a day spent moving in the right direction.

A Question For You

When was the last time you helped a stranger simply because you could?
Not because you had to.
Not because there was something to gain.
But simply because it was the right thing to do.
Sometimes those are the moments we remember the longest.

As Princess Diana once said:

“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward.”

A timeless reminder that kindness never goes out of style.

Motto from Nordé

The world becomes a little brighter every time someone chooses kindness over convenience.
